Infinity 1600a Mono Amp

Hi

I was wondering if any one has had any experience with these amps

I also have the 1260w infinity sub which pushes 300rms

I cant get any decent bass out of the sub, i have checked all the wires etc and that isnt the problem, its the amp... The only way i can get bass out of it is if i turn the power output up to fall, will this be bad for the amp to be on full power output 24/7 (when being used )?

Are you using a JVC HU by any chance. If so then it only has one RCA for the sub?

no i have a kenwood headunit with two pre outs, but i am only using one, is that the problem?

both lol i am using one set off photo leads for the pre out

i have another preout and a spare set of phono if that helps

Will do. the thing is, my old 4 channel amp and jbl sub worked fine and was quite bassy. The Amp was some crap un-named thing, so when i up rated the amp i changed my sub, and i didnt touch any wires i just swapped them around and then tuned the amp. The wire are 8 gaige which is fine, it is all wired up properly because my old system worked fine, just dont understand why the amp cant push any bass (unless i turn the 'power output' to fall - and when i do this the sub jumps all over the place lol and dunno if it is bad for the sub and amp etc)

Does it not say the model number on the front?
Somebody had a problem similar to this the other day so can you take as high res image of how the amp is set as possible.
Also where the remote bass controller is set and also all settings on the HU

Lol that somebody is me and its sounding worse than ever. The bass just sounds crap and strained now. I can't afford to change my HU yet either so basically i'm just carrying around the subs in my boot for no reason

Do you have the same amp/sub or headunit?

Im going down to car audio so they can have a look at it, ill let you know what was wrong and will post some pics of amp wiring etc soon. Thanks
