Hi guys,has anyone anay idea where the relay for the indicators is?
Reason i ask...For the past few mornings when i 1st use the car to take g/f to work (8 mile trip) the indicator will flash once,then not work the rest of the way,the hazards wont work either and its rather hard turning when people dont know where your going...But on the way back,it seems once the car is warm...They work fine..Its only 1st thing in the morning..
Ive checked the fuses and all are fine..
Am i right by thinking i have a faulty relay on its way out? Never had any problems with electrics in my car untill now..1st the window stops working..and now this lol

Not necesarily the relay - stalks are notorious on Bravs.
 
I think the relay is on the underside of the steering column. Remove the cowls and ye shal find. :) If that fails I would think about replacing the stalks.

My indicator relay stopped working.

I have a marea weekend, but mine was on the steering column.

Undo the bottom half of column and there is a relay, prteey much in palin view, it slides out.

I got a replacement from a scrappy for £1, worked fine since, just a little louder on the click!

like Joske said, it could be the stalks, but my indicators would cut out, then if I hit the underneath of steering coloumn it would work again, changed relay and all fine.

I haven't got a relay guide I'm afraid, don't know what one you need.

ok, chap, If i remember correctly its only 3 possie drive screws under the steering column..

when you put it back together make sure its lined up, i managed to somehow attach it and it covered my ignition barrel..... :-S dunno how I did it

well mine is a 3 pin blue one.Just been on phone to few local motorfactors and have no luck...Apart from A1..Bloody £6 :0
Not tried Fiat yet..Im gona replace it with a new 1 anyway,so if it still happens after ive replaced it i know then its not the relay and could be down to the stalks..(which i hope its not).

Nip round to Shaunco's and swap it over to test it. If it works get a new relay if it dont check your stalks. But i also recon it could be a bad earth.
 
ya mentioned it could be the stalks,well at mo im going with the simplest thing 1st as ive not got spare cash 2 fork out 4 some stalks yet :s

I took the relay out an rubbed down the 3 pins and cleaned it up for now.It was working fine earlier as i had to nip out,so hopefully its gona be ok for a while.
Like i said earlier tho,when i replace the relay with a new 1,then i know what it could be after that :)

Think i have sorted my 'Ticker' out :)

I did a lot ringing round other day to see where the best and cheapest place was to get a relay.I tried my cheap car shops that i use but they were deer.There is a fiat breakers up Cowley Rd in Blackpool but he wanted a Fiver and i live no where near there..So in the end i went to A1 Motorcare and picked a B/N one up for £6 :),Its quieter and ticks differently lol Sounds different lol
Its just plain black with 7 numbers on,whereas my old 1 is blue with loadsa different numbers all over it,..BUT i checked the 3 pin numbers and they match up :)

If all hell fails next,then ill presume my stalks are on the way out .

Mine ticked differently, and I swapped it for one from the same type of car (marea-marea)

Mine seemed to tick, with a bit more of a definate 'K' on the end of 'ticK' :)
