Just this weekend, the indicator relay started playing up.
It would work once, then stop working, then sometimes not work at all!
So took off steering wheel bottom cover, removed the relay (just under and behind steering wheel).
Took it apart, had a look, looked ok, so replace it back without the cover.
Worked ok, every time, strange!
So replaced cover, put it back, same problem, intermittently working :bang:
Then I had an
Took it out and looked at the connection to the board from the pins, very closely, under magnification, and found the problem, dry joints on two solder points on the board, where to pins are soldered into the board.
Conformed this by placing it back with cover off and moving the board, problem occurred.
The cover was holding the board in the position where the dry joint would not make contact, and when the cover was off ,it made contact.
Re-soldered joints and works fine now.
