Open to any ideas as to the best way to improve the grande punto 1.2 engine, aready heard about GSR and BMC inductions but they seem like a waste for such an amount of money.

Been asked loads... 1.2 isnt meant to be "hot" its a low power option.

No real tuning potential, best to sell on for a 1.4 TJet or 1.9 MJet IMO.

If you cant afford insurance for those you wont be able to afford to insure a modified car either.

You could always turbocharge it. But popping the 1.4 16v in is probably a wiser step.

Yea.... Or sell the 1.2 & buy a TJet....as I said in Post #2, lots of reasons why that is a better option.

or 16/20vT from coupe and have a properly quick car. though as to whether the chasis would be able to handle it, and if so starting from a better model with better parts to start with will be cheaper.

Or tuned alfa twinspark as per the S2000.

Fantasy really, WAY outside the normal financial budget for the work alone, then comes the task of insuring it... Not a working viable proposition really.

Thats not to say it cant be done... Anything camn be done with the will, time, inclination & budget....
