Hi new to the forum I have a problem with my 03 plate fiat camper. When driving along all of a sudden it loses all power. When you pull over it restarts no problem goes for a few minutes then does the same thing.
We put it on a diagnostic computer and it comes back with a immobiliser issue has any one else heard of this ?.
If so what are best solutions
Thanks Frank

Yes a 2003 camper the engine size is 2ltr
DUCATO 11 JTD SWB
I am inclined to be sceptical of the diagnosis. Were you given a printout of the diagnostic test reults? The Fiat immobiliser is designed to prevent the engine from starting, not to shut it down when running, as this could have serious consequences if the engine fails in traffic.

Didn’t get a print out will ask if he can redo the test to see

Does your Immobiliser lock (orange) light come on when this happens?

also you say loses power...can you expand on that....does it keep running but get less powerful or does the engine stop on you with no warning?

It might be an old registered error, in that case you should take note of all the errors, clean them up, redo the test, and once the issue occurs check it again with the scanner. Note that not all the errors get logged.
