Technical Immobiliser Bypass Help

Hi,

I am ecstatic you have got it started (-:

We all need a win now and again.

The more the screw is in the more fuel is injected. If when driving there is a lot of black tail pipe smoke unscrew say a quarter turn then retest.
If power well down screw in quarter turn then retest.

Well done .

Jack
Thank you, it's a win owed to you guys so thanks again to everyone.

@Greasytrucker thanks, my bank accounts happy about that too haha! The worst bit is it probably would have fixed it and we would have been none the wiser that it just needed a tweak.

As @Communicator mentions, just pleased your are mobile again, the fact you mentioned the advice helped you, will in return maybe help someone else with the similar problem who reads it.
Sometimes advice is offered and you hear no more from the original poster which can be a bit rude as it helps no one else on the Forum, if only to say the suggestion didn't work and maybe something else was found to be the solution.
As a mate of mine used to say "knowledge is power", we are all learning until the day we die, so the person who claims to know everything is a liar.;)

I had a JTD car that would only clear the immobiliser after around 40 attempts
( routinely.... )

However ,
in the summer if parked in the sun, 20'C cabin would clear the immobiliser 100%🤔

Neither key made a difference 😔

Eventually we realised there was a Click sound when the Immob cleared

It was a secondary factory fuseboard (hidden in the dash..).
On it was just 2 x standard Red Relays

Swapping them over was a 100% fix, swapping back still unreliable 😏

Never had a problem again 👍

When yours was temperamental..
Did neither key make a difference?

Did you spot Any pattern to the non-starts..?

I am trying to ensure that your original fault is not stopping it today.. 🤔
Hi

newbie on here

I am having the same with a 2007 ducato 3.0 MOHO ...usually when the engine has had a really long run the immobiliser doesn't click when the sigma alarm disarm button is pressed....it does sound like a dodgy relay to me......dodgy electrics in an italian vehicle? whodathunk it.

did your relay change work permanently??

TIA

Hi,

You would be better served starting your own thread on your problem in the ducato section.

Best wishes
