Ignition Problem?

Just come back from Holland and Germany after a week and jumped in the car to go to the cash machine. Everything was fine for a few minutes until the car started cutting out when depressing the clutch at low speeds.

Its not every time and the injector light is on. It also feels like its running on 3 cylinders. The cars a 1.6 with 50k odd on the clock.

Ive had a quick go at searching for the solution because i know this has been asked a thousand times but i cant for the life of me remember what the solution was. Im guessing its ignition related?

injection light on constantly or does it go out when you press or release the throttle?

It flickers on and off regardless of whether ive got my foot on the throttle or not, more on than off at the minute though.

Check the low voltage connector to the coil pack, but sounds like an injector has bought the farm.

Would a dead injector cause the car to cut out?

No fuel = no bang

Check the coil pack first.

my 1.6 used to cut out when i diped the clutch it was the idle control

as for the lumpy running start with new htleads and spark plugs no point paying out hundreds for new injectors if you dont have to

the injector light could mean one of many problems. take it to fiat and get it pluged in

Sparks or HT leads won't make the light come on.
