I'm having a few problems with getting my Uno to idle, basically it just stays at about 1500rpm and then when the car is warm and its turned off and then re started it idles at like 700rpm and its almost stalling, anyone have any idea what is causing it??

i'm stating the obvious here, have you checked the idle speed screw on top of the plenum?

slack of the main lock nut a little, and adjust the screw inside, once its settled, tighten teh locknut and should be ok

hi there mate, another thing that could be causing the high idling is a faulty supplementry air valve.my car was idling at about 1700 and it was due to this item.from what i can understand it lets extra air in during a cold start and closes when the engine has warmed up.mine was jamed open and letting 2 much air in.if you have a haynes manual its on page 13.67 and 13.72 picture 9c.88b. i've bypassed the air valve and it idles fine now.hope this helps a bit.cheers,Dave. :slayer:
