If your'e going to this length you may as well get a 4 channel amp and make it worthwhile. It will mke a difference if you get some decent speakers in.

Right, if you could post up some links to the speakers you've got/hoping to get and we'll have a look-see :)
I would amp the fronts and run the backs off the HU as you are gonna have the 6x9s............:)

Wiring the amp is very simple :)

Can I just stop you there?

I'd get some 6.5" components, with the woofers in the doors and the tweeters behind the grilles in the dash. That's just what I'd do

You can tell I'm a bit off today - I didn't twig to ask about comps *groans*
Get some 2 way 6.5" comps, amp them and use the standard cinq locations for a simple mounting place for the tweeters (y)

10cm tweeters?!?!

Only a dog would be able to hear the frequencies that thing would produce, you'd be cruising down the street and all the dogs would be nodding their heads to the music :p

ahahahaha! lmao! thats wot i was thinkin. so im gonna have to get/make some kind of adapter to put the tweeters in the 10cm holes in dash

What some people do is use the grilles as a mounting :)

First 2 links are dead

If you're gonna have comps upfront, then you don't need the 10cm speakers :)

No. Its only a 2 channel amp, and its been quite badly described - no mention of RMS wattages or anything (n) No mention of the 6x9s specs either. I'd avoid TBH and pick and choose what you want :)

Right, I wouldn't amp the 6x9s. I would run them off the HU if you're gonna have them. I've done some research and the Kenwood amp would be suited to power your components - the amp puts out 2x60W RMS and that's what the comps take. I would, preferably, get an amp with a touch more juice - but you could use that Kenwood :) You could also use that Pioneer amp.

So.....................
Comps, amped by Kenwood
6x9s run off the HU. I think that'd be your best cost effective choice (y) (a bit hypocritical I know, but meh :)) Even though I'd ditch the 6x9s :)

Hang on, I'm really off today, get the 2 channel version as you'll only be amping the components - http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_detail.jsp?product_id=9932&taxonomy_id=25-29

You can put the amp in the boot or under one of the front seats :)

I would get the four channel if you can afford it, as it leaves you two spare channels for a sub at a later date. That way it saves you buying another amp if you decide you want more bass.
