for those who care to remember, my threats to Fiat have resulted in a free ECU repair (which ive paid with through stress, patience and time) and my HGT finally runs properly...just need to screw on the engine undertray and fanny is then my aunt.

I may even make a meeting :)

Bugger you sideways morelike :)

It would appear that at some point when the two ECU connectors next to each other had been pulled out, a wire in one of the looms had been loosened and thus bad connection..its that simple. theres a 50/50 chance Fiat did it themsleves.

one word...incompetence.

Oops! Those connectors are not exactly robust so some gorilla could easily have damaged it.

it ran before. but 'like dog' as saddam says ;)

now it seems good.

i let pops have a first drive who thinks its more like 120 bhp than 154 :) nature of the beast i guess.

hasnt below 3500rpm, has above - VVT - its almost like theres a low pressure turbo kicking in :)

pops didnt get the revs high enough...next time i'll drive.

i think my old 1.6 16v was more useable...it seemed to have 80 - 90% torque throughout the entire rev range. I would say overall its the best engine.

Thank god the 5 cylinder sounds nice

I must get mine piggybacked and on the rollers, the midrange is awful :) Mostly down to the induction setup.
