I'm really annoyed at this bloke breaking nice Panda's though nothing we can do about it. If you look at his items there are numerous low mileage and really clean Panda's broken.

Sadly even people on this section will buy from this seller. I'm pleased to say I won't, out of (probably misplaced) principal.

This was one I found in our auction watch threads. Not looking for any more

I just can't understand it, pay maybe £200 for a car to break and you'll make some money (not much), pay £500 and you will make very little, if anything, especially after you have added in all the other costs, there just surely cannot be the demand, he even says he still has lots of the parts. Hopefully he will get bored eventually and move on to something else.

I must confess and ask for forgiveness as my roof bars came from him.

In my defence it was an impulse purchase, saw the add, clicked buy it now and paid without looking at who was selling them.

I not only have bars but guilt on my roof *head hung in shame* :(

You've paid your debt by utilising the Panda Express for your alloys rather than paying a courier.

I too have purchased from this seller.

They had parts that I needed that I had not been able to source in the same used condition from elsewhere.

Exchanged several eBay questions and answers before agreeing prices and I went to collect.

Parts were exactly as described if not better, seller added some additional items at no further charge as well.

From my own experience, I could only recommend the Seller.

Pandas are worth more in parts unfortunately.
True enough for tatty ones yes.

Don't think anyone's got an issue with this guy as a seller, the problem is he's stripping the parts from some very nice complete low mileage cars which should never really be a candidate for breaking. Gawd knows they can rot, surely there's enough low mileage cars with rust issues to strip nice trim, mechanical parts and interiors and even body panels from to sell, yet he chooses to pay more for good solid roadworthy cars and strip them instead!
Can't be a terribly sustainable business model either as every roadworthy example he breaks is one less customer to sell to!

We spoke about him before and I will stick to not dealing with him...the panda business is not sustainable for him and what he has left over will be weighted in or dumped.

No doubt he reads this forum and is laughing down his sleeve.

mmm... while I agree he shouldn't break the rarer models and it breaks my heart to see these Pandas up for scrap, I believe in order for us to keep our cars on the road some sacrifices have to be made.
While scrapping a more popular car model (fiesta, corsa or whatever) might have more of a market, they are also easier to sell complete. Pandas have a limited market and I think in a way this man is sort of doing us a favour by being a bit more ruthless than any of us could be.
I think we all wish we could save all Pandas, but life is not fair, is it?
I look at it as recycling, at least we get a chance of getting our hands on some spares, instead of the whole lot getting weighted in.
Think of all the mk1 punto owners calling us (or at least myself and a few others) all the names under the sun because of the amount of 1242's we had off their cars.
