i know it's only a photo shop but on the 500 estate the rear seats still look very close to the rear hatch ie: not much boot space yes more rear leg room but estates are about the boot. do you not think the uglyest and worst selling version of the mini will depreciate rapidly aswell ?

from the rear wheel backwards its sh!t

wouldnt have one unless i had mad bodyshop skillz:p

there is potential though...

I remember passing two in Germany before they went public with them, me and the wife both looked at each other and said what a friggin ugly car... Mark, even your detailing work wont make it look nice. Its like a cheap Ikea kitchen unit and you cant polish a turd!
Id rather suffer the depreciation on anything than suffer the embarasment of buying the stupidest car on sale in the UK... you seriously will be laughed at:)

THIS... is a mini clubman :)

p.s. madame you let your daughter out wearing WHAT? And why are you bundling her into the boot?

Sheesh! Glad this is not an original mini enthusiast website or else you would have been grilled for that comment. :)

The mini estate was never referred to as a clubman but either as a Mini traveller or a Austin Mini Countryman. The name Clubman name was from the square ugly mini.

Sadly the car was ugly then and is ugly now so not much has changed.

does the clubman have the optional brown paper bag to put over your head when you drive it? and a blindfold for when you don't?

i can think of a hundred things better than a clubman and more plesurable too..... taking the bus or a boil on the bum for instance......

don't do it man!!!, you'll regret it every time you look at it!

By your reckoning then it's a good thing that your comment wasn't on a Classic Mini enthusiast's website :p

The Mini Clubman was indeed based on the saloon shell (and it was the same from the A panel back as the round nose saloon shell of the time, only the inner wings forward were different), but there was the Mini Clubman Estate as pictured in an earlier post.

The Traveller and Countryman only existed in mark 1/2 form, e.g. external front door hinges, sliding front windows, bus like steering wheel and had the original 'round nose' front end.

The Clubman Estate only existed in mark 3 form (e.g. internal front door hinges, winding windows).

For completeness' sake, the Mini Van and Pickup were based on the mark 1 throughout it's entire production run.
