I CAN play songs through my ipod but I can't control my playlists or songs.

I started using my ipod through blue and me the other day in my punto. It worked fine as I converted everything to mp3 :yuck: but i couldn't control it through the ipod. It just came up with the "do not disconnect" like when you've got it connected to your pc. I just flicked through the songs with the skip buttons on my steering wheel and it just played the songs in which ever order it wanted to.
Is there any way of being able to control it with the ipod or do i just have to live with it? I as thinking it could be to do with the fact i used the docking station and not a straight cable??

When u connect with the USB it accesses Ipod like a storage device so it just plays songs, you can add playlist to it in either m3u or wpl -sorry cant remember what Ipods playlist file type is that will give back some functionality but the only way to control the music u listen to via your Ipod and not the B&M controls is to not use USB connection and use the headphone jack via a cable to the head unit, that I believe is the ipod connection kit (50901536 £80)
