One of drivers heard from a friend (copper who does the dewsbury beat) that they have heard she (matthews mum) planned to run away with donovan (the 'abductor') and young shannon and live abroad. There has been some sort of sexual relationship, be it a previous relationship or affair/ 1 night stand between the two.
They also seem to think that donovan will get away with it as well, or will only get light charges against him due to the fact that the mother knew where she was so it technically wasnt an abduction so it can be viewed as only he was 'looking after her'
Treat as a rumour though rather than fact, however an interesting reason if in fact true.
What do you think?

I think its risky and wrong to suggest anything may have relevance when it is "something a friend of someone who knows someone said type stuff"...?
I just hope it all comes out, anyone who is guilty of any heinous crime is stuffed by the state and they rot in hell.
Reality is they will probably get the help and support of an army of do-gooders and sell their story to a Red Top paper and get a new big free house in another part of the country, they wont be able to work so we will subsidise their miserable existence unfortunately...
he'd be guilty of conspiracy/being party to fraud or whatever they call it as theres no chance in hell that he didn't realise what was going on.
didnt say he wasnt guilty of any charges, although which do you think will look better on his record - fraud or abduction of a 9 yr old child?
