How well do the bravas handle?

been looking at a brava, its a jtd, whats the handling like compared to the bravo, never driven a big car.... well my zx was a bit of a tank but!

quite like the idea of more space. is the jtd engine in the brava exactly the same as the bravo's, i.e. does it remap the same? is the performance comparable, brava cant be that much heavier can it?

According to that not a great deal of differance, i checked and it says the bravo 1.8 and the brava are the same performance wise aswell, but i would have thought the brava was slower, now im confused

cool, you had a brava didnt you? could you tell the difference/notice the size when throwing it around?

I got Bertha, a 1.6SX Brava, and she's a pretty good handling machine.

I can happily through her around and she'll not get skittish.

Ride can get a bit wallowy sometimes, but then again I need new front shocks.

I'd happily go for the JTD.

It's wrong, so very, very wrong.........

I stuck on some new bilstein shocks and lowering springs to my brava and it handles great.

For a genuine 5 seater 5 door car my Brava 1.6SX handles really quite well.
I know of no comparable model that's so good to drive. Like most front wheel drives there's a touch of understeer when really pushed through corners but nothing untoward.
Only the Focus is a better drive, but according to my family they're cramped in the back, and the boot is nowhere near as big.

The Brava 1.6 and above models are truly great value for money. Get a good one and I doubt you'll regret it.
