Hello,

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the standard stereo system in my Fiat Brava? It's a 1996 model, 16v., 1.6. I hope someone can help?

Removal

2 ways 1 = You can use feeler gauges but I'm not sure how but there are 2 slots on either side of the stereo. Or 2 ring your local fiat dealer and ask if you can come in sometime as they have the right tool for the job, Good Luck.

Simple work!

Hi,

just use some thin metal and insert in the 4 slots (2 on each side of the radio). You can see the slots, if you look carefully.

At the same time open the tape deck and pull the radio out. You'll see, that one lock after the other will release and the radio come out.

It took me about 5 minutes, and i'm really not a professional...

Re: Simple work!

On the other hand, you could just revert to doing what every good car audio theif does - big mama screwdriver and plety of leverage from the dashboard. If you **** it hard enough you can probably break the radio and split the dash.

Been there ... ...had that done to me!

Dealer will do it for Free...

Too much hassle to try using the feeler Gauge...

Pop along to a dealer... it takes them 10 seconds and they should do it for free if you smile.....

Good Luck

Stereo

I took mine to the Fiat dealer and they did it for me - took them seconds and cost nothing.

Thanks for all the replies, I got my radio out and have my pioneer installed succesfully! I got the radio out myself and it was very easy.

How did you install the pioneer audio?

Hi

I want to do the same thing you did, nd replace the audio nit with a Sony one. What I want to know is what kind of adaptor did you use to install the pioneer one i.e. basically how did you install the pioneer one?

Thanks in advance for the reply
