Technical How to remove headlining?

Didnt i tell you the other day or was it someone else? :S

Remove A pillar covers, Unbolt front seatbelts at the floor and remove b pillar covers, Take off C pillar covers, unscrew all handles and take them out, undo the visors and take them out, disconnect the light, remove the little push fitting at the back and then pull it out the boot.

Personally I'd do it as Fiat recommends and remove it via the passenger front door aperture to save getting crease lines in the lining when trying to fold it out of the rear.

(I found spending the extra 5 mins removing the door and passenger seat really helps)

removing the door and passenger seat 5 mins???

taken mine out 3 or 4 times through boot easy enough and you dont need to faff about removing a door and a seat

Yep, 5 mins. 4 bolts for the door/checkstrap and 4 for the seat. Piece of p***.

Yes you can get it out the rear, but not without bending the lining, and I've known many customers to kick-off at even the slightest hint of a crease, hence why I've always done it Fiat's way.

They they just pull off, dont pull too hard as they have some material that only lets them go a certain distance for when the airbags go off so you need to undo the screw. No its not illegal to drive around without it, why would it be?

and i dunno just dont fancy runnin the risk lol
thought i would check(y)
btw matt have u re trimmed your handles as well as the roof lining?

All gp's have curtain airbags i thought? What risk would you be running? :S

No, look at the handles, feel free to retrim them if you want. Or you could just buy black spray paint.

i only have one airbag in the steering wheels and one in the dash for passenger
i have the active and it was an option on it i believe, i may be wrong tho

If you've got curtain airbags, there'll be an "airbag" logo on either the front ("A") or centre ("B") pillar trims.
