Technical how to open bonnet ?

Hi,
Im having a bit of trouble.
My bonnet catch is broken, probably the cable has snapped.
Is there any way to open the bonnet from outside?
fiat stilo 115jtd four door 2002.

spray alot of wd40 in and try to grab it with long nosed pliers did the red bit break off?

Try grabing the cable inside the car with a pair of pliers.

If that fails try using a loop of wire and hook it over the red "T" shaped bonnet catch at the front of the car.

Have you tried some,one pressing up and down on bonnet as you putt the release catch. sometimes they get locked up from lack of wd40

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the suggestions.
I had the bonnet open last week filling the windscreen washer with winter mix and before I closed the bonnet I sprayed the bonnet catch with wd -40 as I do a few times a year.
I took off the bonnet pull handle inside the car and removed the cable from the mechanism, held the slieve in a pair of pliers and pulled the inner cable with another pair of pliers, but nothing happened.
The bonnet catch must be broken or the cable has come off the bonnet catch.The cable still must be complete as it didnt pull through the outer slieve.
Is there any way that the catch can be released from the outside?
I need to get the bonnet open as I have a leak in the radiator and I dont know how bad it is .
