Please be aware the newer 69hp engines use a different exhaust pipe diameter for the centre section, some of the eBay listings look wrong to me, fittingbs 1.2 panda 2003› and 500 1.2 sounds wrong

I can't remember if the back boxes are the same
@jrkitching @portland_bill @irc can anyone confirm

Not worth buying a Flexi on its own

The centre section is £30-40 including the flexi

Try phoning you local motor factors, they will be expensive, say you can get them from xyx company for xyz price shipped to you house, it's hit and miss something the some keyboard typing and the price comes down,

Ooo! Where's that, please?
I'll need a new exhaust this year for my 2004 1.2

Replaced just the Flexi when it got ripped off a few years ago, now the rear of the centre pipe has rotted away and fallen out of the silencer.

Bodged up for now after a bootlace got us home but will need a new centre section and rear box

No, the pipe diameters are different up to and including Euro4. The metal brackets are also different, but you can make the 500 front bracket fit by shimming it (Panda brackets can be hard to find, but the 500 bracket is used on a lot of different Fiats and is readily available).

500 exhaust parts won't fit a 2004 1.2.

Euro 5 69HP 169's (after mid 2010) use the larger bore 500 exhaust.

I just picked one at random

Went on eper and looked under exhaust pipes

If you search by your VIN number it will only come back with the ones that's fitted to your car

I pick FIAT 46817651 for the centre section

Searched on eBay for that number and sorted by lowest including postage first

Should be able to get a.local motor factor to.match as they have no postage

Technically there only £30 or so if you knock the postage off

Hiya! Not sure if people are still watching this thread, but is there a flexi pipe size rec for 1.2 2011 Panda?

Familiar with how to cut, seal, and then clamp it though

Find the center pipe number

They are normally around £30

Not worth the hassle of swapping the Flexi for most people

There will be exemptions with things like postage

The 2011 1.2 should be the 69hp engine

Unfortunately there appears to be shortage at the moment £33 ones are all out of stacks cheapest a brief search was £38

Yeah the kwik fit type places are always expensive and sometimes try to upsell other stuff.
To be honest if you don't mind crawling under the car with jack stands, have a go fitting yourself! i will next time
Have a can of silicon lube spray to help rubbers slide on and off. A cutting disc is the easiest way to shift an old system. Its a job anyone with reasonable strength could do. In Norfolk £250 is around going rate for fitting a full system - Jul 26

I just fitted centre pipe advertised for 169 Panda (£37)
with back box advertised for 500 / Ka (£40)

By referencing part numbers 46817651 (pipe) & 51915458 / 51915459 (back box) from ePER

Hello all. Little update for you.
Demon went in for MOT this morning and oil / filter change. £170.
But, now there's a slight leak at the front flexi section.
How easy will it be to fix this myself? Bear in mind about the most complicated thing I've done car wise is fit some seat covers.
D needs new front springs, plus there's still the intermittent EML light that this morning claimed the mix was lean, despite all time previous the code was for too rich.

Impossible to say

Depends how easy the old bits come off

Also need things like axle stands and trolly jack

These can then be reused to fit new front springs later

Can be done on ramps but it's a bit of a squeeze to get the middle mount of

And if the new bits need any fettling

In theory it should be straightforward

My worse case was where the cat and middle section were welded together and had to be ground apart turning a hour or so job in to half a day

Be nice if you could borrow someone to help guide you

I did wonder, if the leak is only very small, if gun gum or such might suffice? Remember we had to put a bandage on my Fiesta back box once, a few days before a holiday three counties away. Far as I recall the bandage lasted 18 months plus afterwards...
