One other consideration is insurance, when you insure your car they ask if it's has 4 or 5 seats. If the log book says 4 seats and you tell the ins company it has 4 seats and you carry 5 they will more than likely invalidate your insurance if you had an accident. If you put 6 in a punto or 10 in a charade and have an accident you will be in the mire, other than that it's dangerous and shouldn't be done even if just going round the corner.
