I think your dealer is being lazy Peter, its still on cars produced by Fiat now, just ask him for the part number 5992133 instead of asking him to look it up!

Yup that be the one, I did give them the part number, but I doubt they went by it as they asked for reg number as well...
I've just emailed the eBay guy asking how much for postage to UK (and also how much to post to Holland).
I did pick up some more instant gasket today, as I couldn't find my other tube of it.
I might try asking the main dealers again...

You're absolutely right, and I was wrong, the part is indeed NOT NLA, but you have to buy 10 in once....!!
As I only need it maybe once in the far future, that's not a good option...!!
And with the shippingcost for one seal from Italy, maybe buying 10 is more economical after all....??
Usually they can locate them or tell you which local dealers have them in stock, I cant believe no one would have them, as I say, they were used on all the 1.7 & 1.9 diesels, Marea`s, Bravo`s Punto`s etc, & being rubber & in constant contact with oil, they must all be leaking now....
Worst comes to the worst you could buy a pack of 10 & sell the others on ebay individually.

The seal will last a very long time, as long as you don't remove the dipstick.
Unfortunately, I have to remove the dipstick on my car, in order to get access to the timing belt.
So every 4-5 years, I need a new seal, but as I just recently have changed the belt, I will not need the seal the next 3-4 years...!!
Anyway, I'm aware of the fact that dealers can locate single parts, but this part is nowhere to be found in Holland...!
Even another Mod on this board has tried to locate one seal for me in the UK, but no luck as well...!

Pete, if I manage to get hold of some I'll post one to you!
I tried to move dipstick pipe when changing cam belt, whole pipe popped out, then I noticed the cause of one of the small oil leaks...

I dont know what it is with people on Italian ebay, they really take the mick with postage prices to the UK, they must think we`re loaded or something....
I`ll see if I can get a pack of 10 next week, if I can I`ll sort you 2 out & put the rest on ebay.
