The Bravo is extinct and the new site is the "SOO" - Stilo Owners Organisation?

I think Bravo/a production ceased in 2001 (please correct me if I'm wrong) and the replacement Stilo was launched. So, the youngest Bravo is not 4 years old? That being the case, what do you all think of Stilo's and would you convert?

Personally, I didn't like them at all when they were launched but the 3 door has grown on me. Unfortunately, the 5 door is as ugly as sin. I immediately liked the Bravo back in 1996, ditto for teh Tipo when launched.

One other thing, I'm sure I saw the a 2.4 the other week with a conventional gearbox? Unfortunately, the new yellow hue is vile! I like Broom Yellow, but this new one is horrible.

Any thoughts, Gentlemen?

didn't like the stilo when it first came out but it has grown on me, i think this looks really nice;

I didn't like the bravo when it forst came out but now i own one, so i guess anything is possible.

I think the petrol engines are very dull and i certainly wouldn't buy a petrol one, i would only have the nige fiddled diesel i think.

I also wouldn't want any silly gearboxes, it would have to be manual, i don't care how advanced the various gearboxes are it's still nothink like driving a propper manual.

until the cars are more than 15 yrs old, and they dont make spare parts, ther'll always be BOO. This club is currently enjoying a period of growth, so i expect that its decline will be very slow. saw a lovely black 3dr stilo the other day when passing my local fiat/alfa dealer. i was looking for a 156, but the stilo was nice too.

yep, you can buy a stilo 2.4 without the selespeed but then you don't get all the extra buttons, sat nav etc.

i like the abarth, others look poo! but for having 170bhp ud think that u cud get more than 138mph outa it and it wud get to 60 quicker than it does. i'll keep mi hgt thanks

The 3dr has grown on me and does look nice (espicailly in black) and even better when kitted up...but i don't think they are nice enough to replace my Bravo :(

But we will see when the time comes, you never know...lol

Re: lol @ rab

If there had been a TOO (Tipo Owner's Organisation), I would have been President. I have always liked Fiat designs since I have been able to drive (Strada, Tipo and Bravo), but I am not at all "convinced" with the Stilo.

Alfa's 147 is a totally different matter though!

Re: lol @ rab

the 147 should have been named stilo! with a fiat badge stuck on it, so we could afford it! they would have sold stink loads!

Re: lol @ rab

Agreed!

How much extra do you think "they" charge for the Alfa Rome badge, say for exampkle of the 3 door Stilo 1.6 and the 3 door 147, for example?

Re: lol @ rab

i havn't looked on the stilo owners' site yet, but i wonder if the stilo has similar weak areas as the bravo/a?
food for thought!

Re: lol @ rab

you would have thought they'd have learnt their lesson. when they superscede a paticular model, they're supposed fix all the problems and design faults of the previous model.
TOTALLY incompetent.

Re: lol @ rab

Yes I agree, but it's a new design with new components (in theory), so new problems emerge with a new model.

The Bravo was essentially a Tipo subframe and chassis with a new shell and plastics.

Re: lol @ rab

Come on now Gentlement, there must be more thoughts of Fiat's replacement for the Bravo/a?
