So I think I have located the source of my running problems. Oil leaking from above into the plugs and I think it's coming from the cam carrier (rocker cover) gasket.

I couldn't see a guide on how to replace it, is it the same as the 1.2 16v?

Any advice welcome(y)

First thing to check is the oil has not come from just filling up or out of the access holes for cam carrrier bolts.

I had my 1.2 16V apart and used some plastic angle to hold the lifters using the profiles show in the Haynes manual. That worked quite well apart from me not keeping the carrier level while undoing the bolts and it springing up off the locating lugs so i ended up dropping lifters on the floor.

Bit of a job just for an oil leak. Is it really leaking so bad??
