i have started to notice now that this particuler colour has been lacquered even though its a flat colour and that its a crap lacquer they use as every one ive seen in this red seems to be peeling somewhere.

does anybody have any info?

the car in question is in the R.I.P thread

chears

could be because it has been put on top of another coat without proper preparation

because its red, it fades alot, and if it has not been looked after properly like washed and wax etc. eventually after a bit of fade it starts to eat the laquer.

is it all red bravo's uv seen it on?

iv seen it on loads of ather cars, but all red ones.

Sorry couldnt hear you??

the lacquer on the spoiler began to peel on my red hgt before i sold it this weekend, im sure theres been a thread befoe about the red bravo lacquer problem

Red is notorious for being a pain as far as fading goes - on any car, not just Fiat. Indeed, BMW refuse to supply solid red cars in Southern European markets because of this problem. Solid yellow can also suffer like this, especialy a very pale yellow.

i hear what ure saying guys but its very rare a flat red paint is lacquered for this very reason, when i spray it im going to use BMX ROT as even though this does fade after years on neglect it s the best an most hard wearing, cant beleave fiat put a lacquer on such a colour lol it is very unusual though int it to find a lacquer on a straight colour such as this lol

um... no, its not....
