Well im a cheap member of staff, seen as im deputy but get paid less by the hour than supervisors do, thats easy getting mentioned to the union!!

a lot of it is greed, and eveyone else thinking that everyone else is doing great so we must keep up with them- little do they know they might be borrowed up to their eyeballs to.

Im happy to have my house, nice car (and **** car as well!) and use things till they break. My pc- 4 years old and made up of 2 pcs. My imac, 7 years old. My widescreen telly - 8 years old, my hifi, my VCR 11 years old, freeview box 8 years old, dvd recorder 6 years old. I also dont like paying money for anything, so always ask for some off. My mobile phone is free and half the price it should be a month, my landline and broadband have cost me £32 for a whole year as i use reccomend a friend offers. I have a good network of friends in various trades or know people, i get good work and costs are kept down

but i will have someone come round and say, your tellys a bit small (32" CRT) and old, not replacing it? well no, it still works, and when it breaks i will buy another. (or if in the financial turd of losing a job, use the spare 28" 4.3 in the spare room!)

As long as I can afford to keep a roof over my head and feed my family and have a little bit left over to buy something for my toolbox I'm happy.

I don't need or want trendy gear, the latest must have gadgets. What's important to me is my family, & my love affair with Italian cars.

I'm happy pottering around with my car & spending time with my family. Anything else is just a distraction
