Hi everybody

My first post here :)

I have punto mk2 2002 1.2 16v , and noticed that the fuel consumption is getting to relatively high volume. (1/10 l/km)

connected my elm327 and got these :

Air flow rate: 8.2 kg/h
Airflow rate (2): 0.0 kg/h
Vehicle speed: 0.0km/h
After-cat sensor signal: 0.659 v
Lambda sensor 1 integrator: 0.51445
throttle opening: 4.65%
throttle learn results: correct
lambda 1 heater pre-cat: active
lambda 1 status post-cat: active
lambda sensor 1 status (pre-cat): closed loop
lambda sensor 1 status (post-cat): closed loop

no errors saved in the memory, no cuts during driving, no exhaust smoke.

I marked the values which are suspected above, some are actually validating my thought.
The fuel/air mixture is rich which can seen by post cut lambda voltage 0.659v (vs typical 0.475v)
Also the lambda integrator states that the ecu has to compensate by ~0.5 the fuel to get the current rich mixture. :bang:
Lambda sensors themselves are looking fine, they are activating and closing the loop.

What i'm still missing is what is the air flow rate X2, and which sensor measures that ? (as far as i know there is no MAF)
Air flow rate (2) = 0 , is that right ?

any other ideas on that issue ?

Thanks !

There isnt a mAf on. Punto iirc
Only a map - manifold absolute pressure. And i think it does intake temp

As for lambda the voltage will b bouncing upa nd down between 0.1 - 0.9v for the precat
This idearly needs to be put into a graph vs time

The post cat sensor is purly to monitor the cats effeciency
Same storey of a pre sensor it needs to be on a graph vs time

The wave form will be alot more ""lazy"" but this is because its lloking at whats coming out yhe cat and should be 0.3 - 0.7 slowly changing

Hi Ziggy,
I think i don't have a pre cat voltate signal line in my fiatecuscan version.
I took a graph, seems that the voltage of the post cat is pretty stuck on 0.625v and the integrator of the precat is ticking around 0.53 when i take (rpm is above 2500 during the sample) - attchaing zipped csv of that graph.

Still i'm not sure if i understand the results correctly ,
If the post cat has voltage of 0.625 and it is active and the loop is closed , then probably the pre cat results are worsen.

Another thing is how are the 'air flow rate' and the 'are flow rate (2)' are measured, MAP calculate pressure not the flow rate , right ?
