Hi all new member in need of help, I have a 2013 Dethleffs Globebus on a FIAT
250 Ducato, I have a problem with the rear rhs side light and rear rhs upper side
light. Tried a reset of system numourous times no luck, no power to lamps checked all fuses and traced wire back to body computer but unable to tell which output is the sidelight as no numbers. I have contacted local dealer but earliest is next week for a reset using dealer computer. I have searched for earths on the body computer but no luck. Thought about taking power from number plate light but this may cause more problems? I have found the front light relays under the seat and could as a last resort rewire rear lights from this source. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The body computer contains electronic fuses which close down circuits when a fault is detected and resets them when the fault is cleared. It probable that the lights in question are joined together. Are they LED or bulbs?

Thank you for your response, just ordinary bulb 5watt, I have changed lamps and fittings from the other side, traced the wire back to the chassis connection where Fiat joins Dethleffs no power, the outlet on the Body computer has no ref so unable to check power output. Crazy in this day and age to have to drive miles and wait days for service.

I have put extra load on number plate lights and the can bus shut down, disconnected starter battery for 2 mins and it reset so looks like working.
Strange wiring set up must be a ring main? From what I gather the side lights and number plate lights are on the can bus but the stop lights are not. A complete rewire when I get home. I am heading for Spain and will try a dealer on route.

I have rewired rear side light and upper
Side light to a fused marker circuit and all seems ok fingers crossed.learned a lot about this canbus so not all negative. A multi meter don't work on canbus circuits for one.

On return to home I have disconnected all lives from can bus system of electronic fuses and fitted new lives from spare marker lights connection which is fused so no more can bus controlled rear lights. all soldered joints none of these plastic connectors hope this puts an end to the problem.
