HGT induction kit to fit HLX

Ok this might be a shot in the dark but here goes. Am i right in saying that if i fit this little doohicky:

An induction kit (e.g pipercross viper) designed for the HGT will fit the 1.8HLX.

I remember someone saying that the inlet on the HGT is about 70mm, and i know that the 1.8 is 85mm.

So will this work???

Yup, but you'd be better off getting a reducing pipe from Samco/SFS as the BMC parts are just REALLY **** flimsy thin plastic.

Yeah was thinking that, but how would you join the 69mm bore reducer to the 70mm bore silicon hose? No one seems to do hose joiners in that size?
