Tuning Hgt cams

I have recently bought a punto hgt and im looking for more power im wondering if the punto 1.2 16v cams or alfa 1.8ts cams will make a difrence

1.8/2.0 Alfa TS cams add about 10bhp & some torque (use the correct cam locks for the timing though).

Are they just plug and play or do i need to mess with timings and what not?

Yep, straight swap. You time it up as normal except you use the Alfa cam locks instead.

Are there any more swapable parts from the alfa engine for more hp???

You can bore it out for 2.0 pistons & fit the 2.0 crankshaft (you have to cut the bottom of the cylinders to clear the rods + trim the timing wheel to fit). It really isn't worth it though imo.

1.8/2.0 cams plus a Supersprint manifold gives about 150 Bhp, looking back that was about the best balance for reliability, the power level was just right for the chassis.

Thanks! I might have a pretty big problem with my car as its misfiring like crazy, barely starts but it gives good spark

No check engine light. I will conect it to a machine to check wrror codes
