Technical Punto hgt gearbox

Hey guys,
So i have a 99´ punto hgt and i have a gearbox problem the second gear its not going in well i think its the synchro.
I need help anyone knows what gearbox mine is ? i think its a c510 and what yall think its the best open the gearbox change the synchros and buy a lsd or Take advantage that I'm going to take the gearbox out and install another one.
i have the car for daily/track but now i but a mercedes and i use it as a daily im going to focus in putting my punto more as a track car.

Your right it is a C510 gearbox, i've fitted a Quaife diff in mine & it was a good upgrade. As gearboxes go its quite a straight forward one to repair, i'd change the 3rd gear synchro too while your there as they fail quite often. The trouble with a 2nd hand gearbox is you don't know how hard of a life its had.
