General HELP!!!!

Hi,

Guess what, the new ECU hasn't turned up yet. I really do worry about getting parts quickly if the car is off the road as a result of a breakdown.

The parts are from Peugeot, so I wonder if this is the cause of the problem as Fiat probably keep minimal stock and have no access to the production line stock.

Poddy was it you who was asking in the erovan2 forum about fitting a multi changer and if so did you ever get a price to have it retro fitted sick of having to Listen to the radio when using the sat nav wish I had opted to have it fitted in the first place

Mine did it again yesterday. I turned off and on again - still there. Off an on second time it was OK.... Argh

Hi,

Mine does quite often, I am sure it is a software bug.

I asked the dealer about the CD changer and they are getting back with a price. From my Fiat CD manual it is listed as a Clarion, but you need it activated in thr main body computer.

Hi - did any of you get to the bottom of the irritating alarm sound that has no discernible cause?
I get the same problem from time to time.
It seems to occur on journeys after a journey where I have used the phone (don't ask me why).
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Have you got a fix?

Hi,

My dealer has found a solution, it is to do with the bodycomputer not being able to recognise the RT3 unit. I fixed mine by installing new software myself (it was either that or torch the car because it was really annoying), but there is a "proper" solution according to my dealer.

My dealer is AHF in Southampton, so it may be worth speaking to David in service for advice.

Thanks for the tip re the seatbelt sensor. My wife phoned me this morning in a mild panic as the car was beeping constantly when the ignition was on. Quick look on the forum and bingo - straight to the answer. (Thanks Poggy) :)

She had the baby changing bag sitting on the passenger seat.

Does anyone know if this is fixed in a later version of the software? I think we're still on 5.40 which was installed when we bought the car.

Updating the Nav unit will have no impact on the weight sensor in the passenger seat, surely.

It is there as a safety precaution - it senses a load, it senses the belt not attached, and therefore warns :)

Hmmm. Seems I misunderstood what was being said. I read it as though the problem was the with the RT3 not the sensor as I'd have expected the normal 'Seatbelt not fastened' message on the display.

Cheers
Phil

there are two seperate beeps. The RT3 beep is even more irritating than the seatbelt sensor beep, thankfully can usually be cured by use of the intriguing "dark" button.
