Hi, today ive noticed i have a sort of grinding churning noise when i accelerate, it will make the noise from 1000 rpm up too about 1500-2000, in almost every gear. It does it when the engine is both hot or cold. It only does it when moving at fairly low speed. It also does it when the engine struggles almost, for example driving through country villages tight slow corners and hills. Any insight would be great. Fiat Silo 1.9 mjt

Hi. So its a rotating noise..
try this.

Find a gentle hill. Going down it at 5 mph dip clutch..is the noise different..?
take out of gear( neutral)..does the noise stop??

Thanks m8 but it's not that kind of noise more like loosed tin or valves....and it's only hearable during drive,when i go from lower gear to higher between 1100 and 1700 rpm. It's tearing my nerves apart

Like when engine is straining at low revs....very annoying
