a mechanic put the snap on diagnostic machine on my fiat today no codes showed he then pushed a button to do a clean or something I cant remember the name but it has now caused the engine management light to flash

you where meant to leave car idle for 20 min with this thing he chose but he pushed the accelerator so I don't think it has had a chance to do what it was meant to be doing

no codes are showing up and the light is only flashing since he done this

any help would be great

It will need to be read by either the Fiat Examiner, or MultiECUScan (MES). Other readers only read/communicate with the standard OBD codes for engine. Other systems need to be spoken to in their own language. MES is brilliant and should be able to read the issue, and it probably needs a proxy alignment done, which a registered version of MES can do. This makes all the various computers and components recognise each other again.

Update your profile to show your location. There may be a Forum Member with MES who will help. Alternatively, the mechanic broke it, he will have to pay the Fiat dealer to fix it.
