ok car problems.

1) at speed i can hear a rattle coming from wat sounds like my side front suspension area. it a high pitch rattle. its like holding a kiddies tonka toy and shaking it sound. i have had new suspesion, drop link, and lower arms and all bushes changes in the last 5 months. any ideas?

2) when i start my car its makes a really scary sound. sounds like a belt whine / squeak. it does this untill the car has warmed up. then its goes away and leaves the normal tappet sound. the car is over die a service. which will be going in just after xmas. oil change, plugs, (had new leads 5 months ago), gear box oil change, u know the usual **** except touching the filter.

to tell the truth the whole car need a tune up. its going on a rolling road soon so im sure they will tell me its under powering. wat kinda things can be adjusted to run correctly. can the timing be out? could it be under fueling? maybe some of my sencors and on there way on something. i know my exhasut has a leak. but it sounds rough. :(

CV joint?

2.

the squealing is possibly the Aux. belt slipping wery slightly when its cold, mine does the same sometimes when its been sat for a while.

yes. but damp can cause the belts to squeal a little chap...

I'm sure tom will come and tell me that I'm talking twoddle but thats just my opinion.

the squeal on my front driverside after 50mph is my warped disc me thinks.

1 - CV joint or bearing, if it sounds like grinding

2 - like Dan said, aux belt prob sliping, and they dont need to change the belt when you do the cambelt, you have to say to change it. + if the aux tensioner is getting weaker, the moist air can produce a thin film under it and make it slip a bit.

Usualy the belt whines when its on too tight or too loose, it may be that the tensioner is going, or the moisture got on it too much. I know the tensioner is new, but mine whent after 5000 km - so all is posibble.

BTW - did you spray any WD40 or simmilar around the aux belt ?
