HELP !!!

Ok, go out to get the car out of the garage this morning

Start it up, no problem
Pull out of the garage no problem
Get out of the car to close the garage door, no problem

Revs, start to shoot up (which is normal) to about 1500

Revs then start to drop a bit, and start to idle normally.

Now you know when the revs start to dip and then return well everytime they dip, i here this kind of screaching sound.

Any clues ??

Fan belt?

Alternator belt a bit slack/worn? Especially if you have lights and heater on.

Cheers guys for the quick responses. Went out just now, started her and all appears to be fine, i let her warm up a bit and screaching seems to have gone.

Car is chugging a bit on idle, but idle revs are around 800/850 which is normal i believe.

The screaching noise, just to explain a bit wasn't constant, kind of come and went when idles appear to drop a little. Also, to me didn't sound like a belt to me, but i can't tell tonight because haven't got a spotlight or torch.
