Help!

I have just bought a second hand MCD36 CD Changer! Its in great condition, I know it works fine cos I saw it working before i bought it!

When I fitted it this morning the head unit recognised it fine, but when I press eject the cartridge wont pop out! It makes a wirring noise but it gets stuck!

I think the problem was because when it was disconnected from the previous car, it was taken out with the cartridge in it!

Has anybody else had this prob, and can someone please help me!!

Thanks!
Tim

CD Changer

I had this problem with a second hand one I bought. The cartridge slots were sticking on the door when it was trying to eject. They just needed re-aligning. It cost me £30 at a car audio hi fi repairer to fix. It probaby just got bumped out of alignment when being removed.

Hope this helps.

Changer....where?

I've just bought one too, and was wondering where is the best place to put the changer? Any ideas?

Re: Changer....where?

Hey!

I've got my changer working!! I had to take it apart as the initial signal (when I first plugged it in) jammed the cd trays! but I hav poked them all back in now and it works perfectly!! wahoo!

I screwed it to the floor, at the far left of the boot. I didnt want to do anything complicated, and its very stable, sitting upright against the side of the boot.

The guy I bought it off had cut the carpet out around where he was going to put it, but i have fixed mine to the carpet, and then cut around it, making it look much better.

Hope this helps!
