Help with new gearbox

I just fitted a recon'd gearbox and now the gearstick is now tilted alot towards the passenger side. I can select all the gears but the gearstick doesnt come over enough that for the luft for reverse to work, (It just slides straight in)

Also my new clutch is way to sensitive. only have to push down 1 inch to change gears making it horrible to drive!

Can anyone help? Plz

as i remember its a 1.2 yes?

personally i would check the linkages, make sure they arent snagging or caught on anything. did you take the transmission tray (linkage tray) off for any reason???

as for the clutch, make sure the slave cylinder is seated right forstly, and also check the fluid levels, if there is too much you will have minimal clutch travel before disengaging

Yes its a 1.2

Was thinking the ajusters on the gearbox might have something to do with it.
Havent been able to look at it since cause it hasn't stopped raining over here.
What way do the two cables work?
Is one the left/right movement of the gearstick and the other the up/down?

Fixed the clutch, wasnt bled properly i think.
Is workin now.

i cant remember the exact way they work, but im sure one is left to right and the other foreward and back, its the only way it can be in all honesty

the only thing i can think is that they are either snagged, or one of the mounting plates they are attached through isnt attached to the box right or they arent connected right to the box themselves
