help with alarm

If anyone has any advce please help!

Our alarm has stopped working for no obvious reasons. It is a fiat fitted alarm immobiliser which came with the car. We have changed the battery in the key which has made no difference.

Can anyone advise me if they think this is a simple problem we could fix ourselves. I've been told by Fiat the nearest place I can get it fixed is Catford and I live in Croydon!? They cannot quote a price or timescale - useless!!

Is it an aftermarket alarm? Have you checked that the fuse hasn't blown?

Any garage with a multimeter should be able to tell you what's wrong.

Fuses

The fuses are 10A in position 12 of fuse box A and 7.5A in position 1A of fuse box B
