Hello All,

I've got a '99 Brava ELX, which is equipped with the flash stereo which has 'cd changer control' written on it. However, i havent got a cd changer and want one.

I can't get through to the truly useless Desira in nth london - theyve given up answering the phone - i range the fiat place in buckhurst hill, essex, and they quoted me 450 squid to buy and fit!

I told them they were having a laugh...

so:

1. can Halfords etc. fit a changer that will 'talk' to my unit?

2. can anyone suggest a good fiat dealer (hard i know) who will fit such a unit for a reasonable price?

many thanks,

WT

I sourced a one for a mate with a Passat from the back of Max Power - VW wanted £400 fitted, he bought a compatible changer for £125 and got a blokey to fit it for him for £40 I think.

They are often on Ebay (one there at the moment i think) thats where i got mine for £115.
The changer that you are looking for is the Grundig MCD-36, but others may also fit.

I've got a Grundig MCD-36 with instruction manual for sale for £100 + P&P inc. brackets - your car should be pre-wired too (my Brava ELX was, now own a Stilo for which I need a Blaupunkt). Email me on [email protected] if you are interested.

Cheers
