I have a question and am sure I saw somewhere an answer but now cannot find it! I have a new (to me) Fiat 500c (2018 in really great condition) which is the fourth Fiat I have had as I love them! I have had the car detailed/valeted and the really nice guy doing it has pointed out black marks on the red fabric sunroof and he doesn't want to do too much to it - just in case- he has tried the various treatments that he uses (he is VERY professional) and it is better but not brilliant! Any ideas please? I am probably being picky but would like to improve it even more if |I can! We now think it might be tree sap?

Hello,

I have now 3 cabrios from a different make. The second one's (in fact my GF's car) roof needed really much care.

We used Renovo cleaner and dye. The soft top material was originally black, so it's it was easier :) (when we bought the car is was grey). But I know the are also making other colours - red, green, blue, etc. The materials fade, so be sure both of you understand it will get much darker once painted. I have no idea how close it will be to the original colour.

I've cleaned the material 3 times (+ once from the inside after I've taken it of the car) and dyed it twice (with a paint brush).

Then of course I've did the waterproofing with another product, but I know that Renovo has also the appropriate product.

I need to clean the soft top of my own car I've recently bought... So another delivery is under way ;) luckily it's in a much better state :)

I'm also cleaning and waterproofing the soft tops twice a year (in spring and in autumn) with a Sonax soft top cleaner, as it's much 'lighter' than the Renovo one (which removes everything, including old paints), but sufficient for 'daily' use.

Beware for the paint job!!!
