Technical Help please coolant pipe change

Hi my little 500 is sadly in pieces at the moment bought just a week or so ago told I needed to tighten a jubilee clip as slight coolant leak ends up leaking out so bought genuine fiat coolant pipe and can’t get it in the old one has no seal from water pump connection and new one has a seal but it won’t fit in my thinking is the old ones seal is still stuck in the pipe and I need some ideas how the heck do I get it out please any ideas most greatfully received
I have added an image of the old pipe, the new pipe, which Fiat assures me is the correct part for my car, and an image of where I'm trying to locate the pipe, the waterpump end

Thank you for your answer It would appear so, yes thankfully we got it out and the new one is now in just the fun part of bleeding the system and praying for no leaks
