Technical Help please (newbie) cannot find the coolant temp sender

I have been trying to locate the coolant temperature sensor on my newly acquired 2009 Panda 1.1 ECO (8v).

Eper seems to indicate it is 'somewhere' on the front of the block towards the passenger side. I have had a general look without removing anything yet but cannot work out where it might be.

I suspect I have a lazy thermostat but wanted to eliminate the electrical connection to the temp gauge first, hence looking for the sender.

Any advice to a newbie would be appreciated, than you !!

Coolant temperature is usually taken from the cylinder head. You will have to take off the air cleaner box to see anything - three M6 bolts (10mm AF heads).
