Hello, my daughters 1.2 Petrol with digital controls now has no fan blowing either, I initially went to try and find the standard blower resistor thing but it wasn't in the usual place. Where is the location of the Denso DRS 99502?
Hi Pedro MC, if you follow the link that I posted earlier, that should take you to the supplier where I bought mine from. The regulator is in the fan housing and is removable once the fan is out of the car. We had full speed on the fan with no control. Relatively straightforward to change.
Hi, okay, that makes sense I guess, but I've no idea what I'm looking for and google search shows loads of different things.
Hi, thanks for that. When I follow the link it takes me to a page but says awaiting image, if I search it elsewhere it shows me this thing. Is this located under the passenger footwell too?Hi Pedro MC, if you follow the link that I posted earlier, that should take you to the supplier where I bought mine from. If its the same as ours which has the full climate control, then the fan is held in place by 3 screws with a power connector on the outside. Take the connector off and undo the screws and the fan will come out. On the inner side of the fan house there is another screw that holds the regulator in place and a plug to the fan motor.Hi, okay, that makes sense I guess, but I've no idea what I'm looking for and google search shows loads of different things.
It's neither of those. The one I had is as the attachedIf its the same as ours which has the full climate control, then the fan is held in place by 3 screws with a power connector on the outside. okay, I think I better take it apart tomorrow and see what it looks like. I'm taking this thing in the picture apart yeah?If its the same as ours which has the full climate control, then the fan is held in place by 3 screws with a power connector on the outside. Yes, I think that is it. Is your heating system look like the attached photo?okay, I think I better take it apart tomorrow and see what it looks like. I'm taking this thing in the picture apart yeah?
different, but is button controlled rather than rotary switchesYes, I think that is it. Is your heating system look like the attached photo?
thanks, I don't suppose you know a part number for that. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow and see whats underneath. It's neither of those. The one I had is as the attached
That is a much later Punto Evo / 2012+ Punto climate system so parts are likely to be different from those quoted in this thread.different, but is button controlled rather than rotary switches
Yes, mine was a 2004 mk2.5, and your dashboard is from a Grande Punto. As Andy said, there should be a part number on the fan controller module and then it's a case of trying to find one. Hope it's a straight forward job. That is a much later Punto Evo / 2012+ Punto climate system so parts are likely to be different from those quoted in this thread.
The removed part will likely have a part number on it , the principles on how it is all supposed to work is the same.
Make sure you regularly replace the cabin air filter, it is this that causes the fan to over heat and burn out the wiringthanks to all your help the issue is found, but not a simple swap out unfortunately as the connectors are burnt out. I'll find either the mating connector and crimps or ideally just 2 wired connectors and I'll mate the wires up myself. thanks so much for your quick responses today, would never have gotten here without you all.
thanks, good shout.Make sure you regularly replace the cabin air filter, it is this that causes the fan to over heat and burn out the wiring
