General Help... No turbo

Right so I have just ran out of diesel on my way back from work... Luckily it went just outside a petrol station, anyway I filled it back up.. Started up straight away but I have the EML on and no boost at all... There is no smoke out of the back, no rough running at all, just no boost.. Any ideas

I thought with a diesel you cannot simply refill if you run of fuel. Injectors & fuel pump require attention... apparently

I have just read that but it did just fire up... And would those affect the turbo? Or has it just gone in limp mode

Is it possible the car has gone into limp mode?? maybe runnig out of deisel has damaged the fule pump or injectors and the car has gone in to limp mode to help prevent any further damage???

Various problems here:

air in fuel system, needs bled, my old Clio had a primer that did this
crap distributed through fuel system by pump taking the bottom scrapings from the fuel tank, don't want to go there as that is seriously expensive
limp mode might need cleared (not sure if the ECU is clever enough to put in LIMP in this scenario?)

All in all, NEVER EVER EVER let a common rail diesel run out of fuel.
