help needed

just bot a brand new punto sport 54 plate and just bot a jvc head unit tryed to install the head unit got it in with no problems but nothing it wouldnt come on took it to halfords and they were wanting 50 bangers to install it so can any of yous chaps help out

Is it a used head unit?? If so check the fuse first

when i fitted my pioneer stereo it wouldlt come on - but then when i pulled it out the earth had become disconnected - i reconnected it and it worked fine

plus check fuses

its the jvc head unit there is power getting to it but nothing is happens i put a sony 1 in to and its just the same any clues

Well its got to be the earth then, check the righthand footwell. Thats where its supposed to be

it comes on but then cuts out both my head units do it
