Am attemting to fit my PiperX Viper, or rather I'm trying first to remove the std filter from my hgt..

I can't get either of the screws in the top cover out although they are fully undone it seems. I've removed the srew from the bracket bottom right, but the other one left and beneath the top cover will turn but not loosen..Bloody monkeys!! are those srews in the top cover meant to come right out cos I'm guna end up with it all in fragments otherwise (which i'd prefer to avoid)

Had the same with mine...i ended up having to bust mine to get it out

had the same problem with the lid on my 1.4S. It seems a common problem, and it looks like the bolt is finished unscrewing, but its not! Where the bolt goes into the plastic at the bottom of the airbox, is a metal ring thing, (u cant se it, as its hidden on the inside of the plastic bit). Its most likely that this is where its seized. I needed a 2nd set of strong hands (thanks dad) to twist the bolt at the top, while i grappled/squeezed/pinched the hell outta the metal bit at the bottom. It took about 15minutes all in, and the bolt went straight into the bin afterwards, as its head was just about rubbed right off.... thanksfully, only 1 of them stuck.
