if it is the thrust bearing and it sounds like it is, then personally i wouldn't "leave it till it goes" mine went at a main junction traffic lights once, very embarassing and akward. had to start it in first and bunny hop it out the way!! felt a right wally. moral is get it sorted, u don't wanna be stranded mate
