HEY LOOKING FOR SOME HELP IVE GOT a Fat BRaVO HLX aND THE OTHER DaY IT TURNED ON ME I WaS DRIVING NORMaLY aND THEN IT GOT REaLY JUMPY I STOPED aND ITS DIFFICULT TO GET INTO GEaR aND WHEN I PULL OFF IT JUMPS aND IT IS VERY HaRD TO GET INTO REVERSE ITS NOT THE CLUTCH BECOUSE ITS NOT SLIPPING WHEN I FLOOR THE aCCELERaTER THE OTHER WEEK I OVER FILLED THE OIL aND IT SMOKED aLOT BUT I WENT FOR a DRIVE THEN IT WaS OK NOT SURE IF ITS THat IM GOING TO TaKE IT TO a GaRaGE ON TUESDaY JUST WONDERD IF U LOT COULD HELP ME OUT INCaSE I GET SCREWED FOR LOaDS OF MONEY THaT I DONT NEED TO SPEND THaNKS aLOT BTW SORRY FOR THE TYPYING MY DaD SPILLED a GLaSS OF WINE ON MY LapTOP SO ITS PLaYING UP PLEaSE HELP ME ITS DONE THIRTY EIGHT THOUSaND MILES aND IS ON a X PLaTE

Sorry that was the last time, i had a simular problem with an old car of mine found out it was the gear selector joints were gone, fairly cheap and easy to replace

lol i think my clutch is goin but dunno sometimes wen i put it down it like clicks any ideas i know my clutch bearing are goin cus there noisty how easy are they to replace?

re clutch bearing

Gearbox has to come off to renew thrust bearing. might as well renew all 3 parts at the same time. Quite easy if you have the time and knowhow

If you buy a new clutch you will get a new thrust bearing as part of the clutch kit, mine went about 6 months ago, cost me £220 inc fitting from my local garage. Make sure you know what make of clutch you are getting,and make sure it is a decent make. Mine is a Delphi one with a 12000 mile warranty on it.

You don't need another gearbox but you have to remove it to get at the thrust bearing. it is false economy just renewing the bearing. The clutch migh't go in another 5,000 miles so you might as well do all the 3 parts, preasure plate, friction disc and thrust bearing.. cost about £60 if you diy.

rite i will keep that in mind i think the clutch is alrite myself its stopped doin it nbow though not clicking its weird it sounds as if it is catching on summin. does a new clutch include all of this?

That was exactly the problem I had.

no basically wen i put down the clutch about half way it like jolts then makes a lil bang noise but it was only doin it wen i had the engine off, then it started doin it wen i was driving it but now its fine. im really confused i think it could have been the arm hitting something but i dont know?

cheers need help asap and cheaply just spend like £2500 on it so tight on cash

Thats the release bearing, I thought it was the clutch cable catching on something until I realised it was hydraulic! Eventually it will collapse completly and then you wont be able to get gears

yer same as me i thought that but then i realised well its ok to get into gear at the mo so it must be the thrust bearing ive got a haynes and i am pretty capable of doing it so wat do i just need the above three things then?

it definitely souns like the bearing, but also check the pivot on the pedal.There is no sure way of telling without examination but you have described a classic symptom of a K*****D thrust bearing
