help me change my mind

Think I'm behind the curve.....at 23 just buying my 1st 3dr...the 75/ZT was meant to be a lovely car at the time not as good as equivalent BMW but far cheaper now, there were parts problems with things like door skins a few years ago that lead to lightly damaged cars being written off due to them being impossible to repair, I assume things have improved now tho.

been watching this for a while. it ends in a few hours, not sure if i should bid or not

i know timing belt needs doing, at approx £400-800, so it isnt as cheap as it seems.

Hmmmmm I saw one yesterday. Look nice, not as nice as your Al. I would say if you feel it s time for a change. If spares are ok then.... Why not? :bang: Can't say no for some reason

No need to change your mind. Go for it (y)

I hate the way car owners slag off other brands when they really have no idea what they are talking about. How many of the rover bashers in this thread have actually owned one? Or even driven one for that matter?

Fiats take a good bashing yet those in the know realise that they arent all that bad atall. Its all about reputation and Rovers rep is being a grandads car with a dodgy head gasket. The K-series engine is an awsome engine, just needs looking after with regular servicing like any other car. Plus the head gasket issue can be solved.

My mum has owned a rover 600 from brand new for 10 years. Its done 84k and she only just had it serviced for the first time this year because I recomended she have the cam belt done. Not a single fault for 10 years. Nothing falling off, not quality issues, no breakdowns, no rust, no horrendous engine failures of any kind etc.

Of course, she opted for the Honda engine at the dealership but still... The rest of the car is still in one piece and going bloody strong (y)

Just because the company is out of buisness, doesnt make the cars bad. The company went out of buisness for various reasons, not because the cars were ****. There are loads of parts still available and being made new. Loads of aftermarket suppliers and parts dealers.

The cars are cheap now because people think "oh, the company went bust so the cars must be ****!" but thats their loss and everyone elses gain. You get a hell of alot of car for the money.

Theres no reason not to buy a Rover.

A jag in drag with an MG badge. How much would yours be going for Jug?

270miles? I'm down in Cambridge/Essex area in a week or 2. So if you did turn around and buy his car I could give you a lift Band ;)

P.S Jug, Don't get it in silver. Blue or Green
