I am to purchase a Fiat 600 that seems to be a Jolly 1956 but very confuse as doesnt look like one. Its an import to Mexico and it need full restoration. Enlcose some pics from the buyer who by the way is a friend and not much idea of the backrounds . Seems some wealthy mexican family bought it new for their Acapulco weekend house.
Has no doors, wooden roof (caova)
Engine engine number 100.000 148140 Chasis Series 144 646
In invoice mentions the type SIATA??
Have had time trying to find any Jolly records as what number chasis includes this model etc.
Thank

Your vehicle has a '600' type engine of 633cc (60mm bore, 56mm stroke--28.5bhp at 4,600rpm, type 100.000). Siata was set up in 1926 by Giorgio Ambrosini, initially as a tuning company, in Italy. They later expanded into building their own cars. The "Fiat Siata 500 Pescara" was 40bhp Fiat 500 (of which only 2 were built, and only 1 survives). One of their models utilised the Fiat 2.0 litre V8 engine--an example of this car being owned at one time by Steve McQueen who stuck Ferrari badges on it and called it 'his little Ferrari'! It is quite possible that they did odd 'one-offs', including a 'Jolly'. If you can put some more pictures on the forum, we might be able to further identify it.
